You have — or really really should have — had your ears all over the excellent Russian Futurists primer Me, Myself And Rye for over a year now … though maybe not if you call Canada home. So first order of business: Welcome to the party, northern neighbors. Matthew Adam Hart’s ‘best-of’ of sorts is out TODAY in your country, and to the extent we can assign homework — get it. A sample of what to expect comes by way of the ramshackle pysch pop of “Paul Simon,” the collection’s Russian-sanctioned single…
Matthew Futurist is doing some well deserved celebrating, first with a remix of “Paul Simon” from hyphenated Swedish electro-cuties Lo-Fi-Fnk…
…and then with a release party this Saturday 7/28 from 3PM-7PM at Toronto’s The Drake Sky Yard. Rooftop performance by the Russian Futurist himself. Have fun kids.

If you call Canada home, you shouldn’t need to have touch the primer, since you should have had ample chance to listen to the three Canadian released LPs.
I love me some Russian Futurists, but the remix is fucking awful. Ever hear of beatmatching, Lo-Fi-Fnk?

technical difficulties delayed the start time a little, but a good set and worth the wait.
thank you thank you thank you
for the tipoff about the show
it was great
didn’t think it was possible, but they sounded even better live!
The tune from the lo-fi-fnk remix is from sonic the hedgehog. It was a special stage where the same tune plays.
In Vancouver on Oct 23rd!!
