The One AM Radio (né Hrishikesh Hirway) is largely a one-man project, and this melancholic standout from This Too Will Pass fittingly is a very personal story — roots, and love, confusion. But the video goes another route: Young girls training for the fight of their lives (literally, symbolically?) and the big showdown is in … an empty gym? Well sometimes the toughest matches are out of the world’s view. And the whole clip’s turned on its head three minutes in. No tidy endings here, just Hirway’s epilogue: “you slipped back in the avenues.” There’ll be more fights, and more girls to awkwardly court. Damn we are deep.

This video is great….the One AM Radio is appallingly wonderful. And by that, I mean fantastic.
It’s a shame more people don’t know about The One AM Radio; This Too Will Pass is probably one of the more underrated albums of this year.
One of the best songs by one of the best artists I have heard in a long time. Now an amazing video to go along with them.
