Annie’s taking the clip for her not-bad song the way of her altogether-shitty album art — over the top and engulfed in flames. Better still, between the bits of fire and Annie wailing in the backseat of a cab, it’s vaguely patriotic: black-and-white shots of ‘real’ looking people, a fluttering American flag, and, uhh, Annie on a park bench in a superhero uniform? It’s like the visual depiction of the pledge of allegiance, set to Glen Ballard balladry! Watch it at Amazon and imagine how ruptured the cabbie’s ears would be if Annie was actually singing during the shoot.

panda bear’s sister?
That album title ………… so 3 years ago. That’s apathy for ya.
It ain’t no “Sweet Dreams,” MAN.
The most amazing voice I have EVER had the honor to experience is back and still going strong. Good meaningful songs are not as common as they once were, luckily for us Annie still can make one. This song is so intense and emotional it is not difficult for me to FEEL the lights and darks of the Dark Road. This is truly an amazing song from the finest artist I have had the privilege to connect with. The video is not her best…I will admit. I can do without the American Flag fluttering.

It’s annoying when the Other Music-ish, cooler-than-thou hipsters start judging album covers. Give Annie a break–she’s lasted way longer than most of the indie crap that people are getting their skinny jeans in a bunch about.
Patriotic…?
She’s Scottish…
I love her and look forward to hearing the whole album. She is a legend. AMAZING
