No, not the British novelist — we’re talking T.H. White the multi-instrumental electro-pop, guitar-playing programmer and producer. The New Yorker’s sophomore album The Private Spotlight is out next month. We were first struck by “Blue + Cream,” a seven-minute Junior Boys-style car ride into the sunset.
Want something a little funkier? Take a listen to “Private People.”

T.H., pick up that guitar and talk to me…
As the above photo suggests, White’s not your average icy synthesizer. Bizarrely enough, “Private People” features vocals from Law & Order actress Megan Wolf and the album includes an appearance by late flautist/sax man Cornelius Bumpus (Steely Dan, the Doobie Brothers). Eclectic, eh?
The Private Spotlight is out 11/27 on Sky Council.

good stuff, the bassline intro to Blue+Cream remninds me of “voices inside my head”
