Despite the three-headed shot below, Sean Jackson’s a one-man band, mining something on his new album For You that recalls Foo Fighters with a bit of R.E.M. You guys might say it sounds straight outta ’97. You’d be right! Doesn’t mean the songwriting isn’t there, though. “Burn”‘s the lead single, and it sees Sean’s “band” gelling on some jangle and rock, Jackson ashamed “for losing sleep,” all over a case of unrequited love. Isn’t it always.
Sean’s self-released album For You is out now.
