Those lovable NY art-punks Les Savy Fav have schooled us on drug lingo and perfume ads and patterned products, but gearing up for last week’s Randall Island show with Arcade Fire, LCD Soundsystem, Blonde Redhead, and Wild Light, the “obscure underground band” decided to document the hopes, dreams, and backstage chicanery that goes into rocking out for 25,000 with all sorta current indie-hep acts.

Turns out its equal parts good and bad: pedicures, “iPod phones,” top hats, organic cleaners, vests, and Easter baskets of fruit along with reduced guest and set lists and no bass or Limoncello (fuuccckk!). For those of you with short attention spans, the near-finale pronunciation of “Patrick Swayze” should be more than enough to keep you glued to the screen for the duration. Considering Tim Harrington’s sundry half-soaked stage antics, a Dirty Dancing collab (Harrington replacing post-cool nose Jennifer Grey?) would actually make good sense. So, so romantic.
