CMJ 2007 will be remembered for … not a lot, sadly. And not just ’cause everybody was boozed up. Folks will probably hold on to how it was every bit as exhausting as years past but not every bit as exciting, and the hype-train surrounding Black Kids, particularly as we wait to see how it all pans out. But along the way we managed to take in some great sets, we met some fine folks, and we finally learned how to party. Speaking of our lesson in debauchery: Some of you have asked for the outtakes from our day with W.K., and we’ll try to cobble some together for ya sometime in the next few days. We had so much fun, we wanted to share with you in a way that you could share with others. So here’s Part 1 via the embeddable wonder of YouTube…

After the jump, YouTube of Part 2, along with some fun behind-the-scene pics of W.K. with Bradford, Deacon, White, and roaming CMJers. And in case you didn’t have time to scroll through the 201 posts we put up in the last 20 hours, our list of the best moments of CMJ ’07.

It’s really a shame you guys couldn’t stay for Matt & Kim on Saturday night – it was an absolute blast, just pure fist-pumping, crowd-surfing, pretension-free joy.
