The blues-ballad come on “Make It Wit Chu” first bowed four years ago on Vol. 9 of Josh Homme’s Desert Sessions series (then with an “I Wanna” prefix) before securing a starring role on Queens Of The Stone Age’s rather excellent Era Vulgaris, offering a smoky, lusty break from the rest of Era‘s dirty grindhouse fare. But a standout song from an otherwise videogenic album deserved more than this cam-staring crooning. Maybe QOTSA are too busy prepping for the German saltmines? Cool to see ‘em in Joshua Tree, CA though.

Era Vulgaris is out via Interscope.
