With the revival already in progress, Sharon Jones’s 100 Days, 100 Nights brought the Dap-Kings vintage brand of rhythm and blues, funk and soul to growing numbers and growing attention, list wankery aside. The album’s closer, the funked up gospel of “Answer Me,” sends the LP out on the good foot, the pleas to Jesus somehow less desperate, more celebratory coming through Sharon’s pipes.
