Director Ace Norton’s no fool: When creating a video, you take an artist’s strengths, and exploit them. That’s obviously Norton’s approach to the great lead single from the Mountain Goats’ deeply evaluated Heretic Pride, scrawling John Darnielle’s winding lyrics around a set, over arms, and across shirts, all captured in one extendedly poetic take.
