The video for “Emily” follows the ex-heroin addict, current lady addict, New Zealand heartbreaker Nick Harte through the ins and outs of life after his gal’s gone away. In the mostly nighttime milieu, hep girls hop from bars to Harte’s bed in various states of undress. When he’s not sexing it up, he’s pining for Emily, walking on air, sinking into a checkered floor, and strumming his guitar J&MC-style in front of some silver Warhol balloons. Usually that last one gets the chicks to come back.
