It would appear Keith and Chris made up after that unfortunate “After Hours” double date. Don’t believe us? Just look at them go on the Brain Thrust Mastery tune, “Impatience.”

The Brooklyn boys sound great on Jools Holland. Maybe it’s the new drummer? Who knows, but they offer an especially triumphant take on the aforementioned “After Hours,” deservedly Brain Trust‘s first single. Also, Keith has a dashing new haircut.

Really good, but we do miss the dog.

Brain Thrust Mastery is out 3/17 on Virgin.

I like these guys. They aren’t breaking down any musical barriers persay, but they are a good listen. No word on when their new album drops in the US, though? I know the UK gets its sometime in March.

  3. Is this only being released in the UK?

  4. FYI, that’s Gary Powell (The Libertines, Dirty Pretty Things) on drums and Anthony Rossomando (replacement Libertine & Dirty Pretty Things guitarist) on guitar.

  5. are they dropping the whole thrift-store-suit-bad-haircut-and-glasses schtick now? i kind of liked that.

  6. i didn’t care about the 4 or so songs i heard from their first record. the choruses, the heaviness in the guitar, they overplayed their drums, the lyrics were overwrought. everything seemed too labored and they were just frankly not that impressive. good videos though.

but now these. wowowowow. they are both phenomenal pop songs.
