The folks at the Black Cab Sessions continue to exploit the heretofore untapped acoustic potential of London black cab’s back seats with Spoonman Britt Daniel, who give us Fiction‘s “I Summon You.” This follows in the wake of similar sessions with the Raveonettes and fellow Austinite Will Sheff, although competitively speaking Britt gets the most demonstrative endorsement from his cabbie.

Nice job Britt, although we don’t think summoning folks into cabs with you would even require a guitar or silly sunglasses. For more musical fun with cars, check La Blogothèque’s Van-pire Weekend and Guillemots’ Red cab session.

Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is out via Merge.

A few months ago I had a dream I was driving around with Britt Daniel and he was playing music in the backseat.

Britt Daniel can summon me anywhere, and I’d go in.
