D.C. hip-hopper and Seinfeld fanatic Wale — “I think I’ve seen every episode, like, 30 times” — is releasing The Mixtape About Nothing later this month. That’s the artwork to the right. EW caught up with Wale at Mark Ronson’s studio and he played them a song called “Hype,” a “meditation on celebrity [that] opens with a lengthy sample from one of Jerry Seinfeld’s Season 7 stand-up monologues: ‘I love it when people are complimented on something they’re wearing, and they accept the compliment as if it was about them…’” He also wrangled Julia Louis-Dreyfus into doing a skit, but our guess is that Michael Richards won’t be dropping by to riff on the title of the new Nas album.
