Last night, a Stereogum staffer’s brother passed him a link to that old, weird-ass Blake Babies “Temptation Eyes” video — in it, an often yawning Evan Dando pops up. So, Dando on the brain, it was funny to wake up and notice that he’s getting some respect today: Pitchfork likes the It’s a Shame About Ray collector’s edition, he’s touring Ray live now, and Spinner’s celebrating with an archival video of “Alison’s Starting To Happen” from a performance in Australia in 1993.
Notice all the ladies in the front row? It’s a shame he and Juliana never got married. They could’ve grown old watching The Hills together.

Old school Lemonheads fans should check out Varsity Drag. It’s Ben Deily’s new band. He was the other guy that sang on “Hate Your Friends”, “Creator”, and “Lick.” They play in Boston about once a month or so.
