Last night in Calgary, Alberta, Leslie Feist was the toast of the Junos, taking home top honors for the year’s best single (“1234″), album, pop album, alongside trophies for top artist and songwriter. That’s 1, 2, 3, 4 … 5, while also being the last “1234″ joke we make for awhile (hopefully). The night also saw Halifax indie rockers Wintersleep take home best new artist hardware, while fan-choice recipient Michael Bublé “just kept kicking the shit out of myself for not writing ’1234.’” We doubt that you’re not the only one, Bubbles. Full list of winners below.

  1. You’re not my budd-eh, guy! I’m not your guy, friend! You’re not my friend, budd-eh!

  2. who gives a fuck about her

let’s hope she can milk another year out of a song she did not write, but amazingly she calls herself a “songwriter”

    please go away

  3. The song was co-written by Sally from New Buffalo. Not just Feist. Not just Sally. Co. She is also an integral contributer so Broken Social Scene, with whom she also writes songs, co and otherwise. Oh, and she also has two other solo discs with material that she wrote, co-wrote, and covered. Oh, and she has been featured in several songs of a Kings of Convenience album. How many internationally acclaimed albums have you worked on in the past decade? I’m taking a giant fucking leap here, and saying that’s a big zero.

You would kind of have to be dead inside to hate on Feist.

By ‘Juno’ you mean Ellen Page, right? ‘Cause I would love to see Feist take a handful of Ellen Page (not that she has much to grab on to).

  6. Couldn’t be happier for her. Nice to see an artist, song, album deserving of big awards actually get them.

  7. Woo! Go Feist! Go Canada! Go Flames!

    Calgary rules.

  8. i never though faust would become this popular, but looks like they caught on in the mainstream after all.

Calgary doesn’t rule. And I say that as someone who lives in Calgary.
