When we first saw Lykke Li do “Little Bit,” it was clear she liked to dance. This is all the more apparent in the Mattias Montero-directed video for “I’m Good, I’m Gone.” (Actually, it looks like all of Sweden, including its elderly, like to cut the rug.) The song feels different than when Lykke sang it with the Swedish indie All Stars and in in the bathroom, though her Hammer pants and silky blouse resemble shower curtains.

Great stuff. Lots of slo-mo violence, but no worries: It’s all good. Just dance.

Youth Novels is out in the US on 5/6 via Lykke’s LL Recordings.

Lykke Li: The pop singer who doesn't watch TV
NEW YORK (AP) -- Lykke Li is sitting in a TV studio, preparing for an interview, when she catches herself on the TV monitor. "It's so weird," she says, looking at herself. "Like, you see everything. "I think I become a bit self-conscious," she continues ...

  1. very cool. she just looks a little mad

  2. Strange but cool video. I’m surprised they got her to stand still even minimally though; she always strikes me as having a hard time standing still. Always ready to groove she is. :)

It’s a shame that not all of Youth Novels is as good as “I’m Good, I’m Gone” and “Little Bit”. She’s definitely going to be one to watch, but unfortunately, YN is mainly filler.

  4. Oh nice, will check it out.

  5. I had to google how to pronounce her name. I didn’t want to make an ass out of myself ordering tickets for her show in May. She is lovely!
