Bowerbirds’ CMJ set cemented the trio as favorites around here, and it looks like Vincent Moon nabbed the trio right around that high time for a LES-based, four-song La Blog session. The taping starts in an original and as yet untapped location: Economy Candy on Rivington, which is where you wanna go when you need a sugar fix or, apparently, literate North Carolinian folk music. (The resolution on this first one may be a little lower than usual, but the harmonies make up for it.)

“Bur Oak”

“We’re called the Bowerbirds … Bower, without the y.” We give you a pass, Lower East Sider — when you’re two blocks away from Bowery, that’s a fair mistake. The rest of the afternoon was less original, taping wise — inside a car, stationary busking, sidewalk strolling — but well worth a watch (better resolution, too).

“Dark Horse”

“The Ticonderoga”

“In Our Talons”
