Hardworking weatherman-referencing and Lykke Li-remixing Gossip Girl grads Sam Champion have a new album Heavenly Bender on the horizon. That’s a hell of a lot of things to affix to the Brooklyn quartet in one sentence. Likewise, the Awesome & Modest-directed video for Heavenly‘s “You Can’t Stop” affixes a number of ad hoc filters to the camera — syrup, lights, cacti, flames, feathers, goldfish, cardboard cutouts, etc. It was shot in their old Dumbo rehearsal space and we’re told by the band, “There are zero special effects. It’s like an old home movie.”
