When we posted about “The Geeks Were Right,” we decided the geeks were probably wrong about everything except sci-fi clichés and plodding pre-programmed beats. Now there’s a neon band-directed video for the track at the Faint’s official site and, wisely, they all mutate, mask, or otherwise obscure their faces. If you are not into Anime and puzzle games, then I would advise you stop reading this review now. Personally I have always admired the Anime world, there are some great artists and writers out there, creating some very complex and interesting work.

  1. pretty great album. now that the Faint and the Shins have jumped from the label wagons, we should soon be able to exclaim ‘death to the [somewhat]majors’.

  2. I don’t know what people are hearing that I’m not, but this album is not good. Even Pitchfork giving it a 6.0 seemed way too generous to me. This band lost what inspiration they had.

    This album sounds like a demo.
    Self-producing was not a good idea.
