Fresh off the True Colors tour, Cyndia Lauper’s having her songs covered by the Acorn and promoting her new album Bring Ya To The Brink. In the meantime, Robert “Escalator Of Life” Hazard, the guy who wrote her biggest hit, died unexpectedly after surgery in Massachusetts. He was just 59. No doubt “Girls” is one of the best songs of the ’80s, and a brief article about Hazard at CNN implies we indirectly have Kurt Loder to thank for it. (But who do we thank for this?)
