If you’re in the NYC area on Saturday, 9/6, you can head to Pier 17 at the South Street Seaport between 1PM and 9PM and catch the free outdoor show that includes Atsuo and his awesome drums (see: pic), High Places, Vivian Girls, Flying Lotus, Devin the Dude, Awesome Color, and the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, among others. The Daily Show‘s John Oliver is making an appearance. It’s hosted by KRS-One. You can get additional details, down to the food choices and free shuttle service, at East Village Radio. In addition to the bands, Anthology Film Archives will screen works from its collection throughout the day at 210 Front Street in a space they’re calling “On The Side.” I mentioned it’s free, right?
