Indie rock’s Laurel & Hardy aren’t quite done milking The Con for its “video-ready “wares just yet. I liked The Con, so this is cool with me. “Call It Off” is a simple T&S breakup duet, but then cutting the cord usually isn’t simple — particularly when you can’t stop regretful thoughts (“Maybe you would have been something I’d be good at”) from circling your mind. The vid mirrors the song, winding up with Tegan literally wound up: “”I’ll start to wonder if this was the thing to do.” Sad. But nice.

i thought this was a really awesome concept and really fit the song. It’s simple and creative, not to mention that they look super hot. i love these girls.
Such a great album. They can make a video for every song for all I care.
Sara’s outfit looks like she just wandered over from adjacent set where she shot The Reason’s “We’re So Beyond This” video. But she is brilliant and so is this video. Great stuff.

lol i think tegan’s hair in this one is really funny … it looks like she’s trying to do the same thing for the rat tail … that these girls did for the mullet last summer…. iono if it will work though .. i hate rat tails
