Cardinology is out soon, and Ry’s celebrating by setting videos of himself doing new songs on Vimeo to PRIVATE MODE. But since we have the password, you should probably head over and watch. (Password = “classic”) Also, you can hear a snippet of the studio version of “Fix It” at the once-again resurrected Foggy blog (thanks again, Matthew B.).

Ryan Adams- “Just Like A Whore”
Ryan Adams satisfies fans with sad songs
Like the man said, misery loves company. The sold-out Taft Theatre crowd loves misery. Misery, thy name is Ryan Adams. The prolific rootsy singer-songwriter played a solo set at the Taft Saturday night, and maybe only one or two of the songs in ...
Video: Ryan Adams, Donald Glover, Michael McDonald Save the Super Bowl
The crew behind "30 Rock" seem to have caught pigskin fever, because the current installment of their animated web series "The Jack Donaghy Files" finds Alec Baldwin's penny-pinching NBC head honcho trying to find a new Super Bowl half-time performer after ...

  1. The single scares me. The chorus sounds like contemporary christian music with hands raised and eyes closed. I’d be able to forgive it if this wasnt how they were trying to sell the thing.

did you see this? “* (ryan adams no longer posts here as he broke-up with the internet and his computer)”

not sure if that’s been there for a while or not

  3. *Love* the wee bit at the start with the stuffed animals.

  4. Not sure about this one. A little too similar to the rest of the Grateful Dead inspired stuff he’s been doing for the past three years or so, the first of which he still hasn’t topped (Cold Roses). One of the cool things about being a fan of Ryan Adams used to be that you didn’t know what was coming next–what style or persona he would adopt for the next record. He’s just stuck in neutral now with this kind of mellow, jammy, adult contemporary bit–it’s like his music has been zapped of energy.

    • adult contemporary! ha!
i actually heard a lot of the new songs performed live recently and I can assure you they are far from adult contemporary. but if you don’t like your face being melted, its probably a good idea for you to stay away. far far away…
