The Met bailed on Rufus’s opera because they didn’t like his French, but the Brits don’t seem to mind: Prima Donna, Wainwright’s aptly titled debut operatic effort, will run at Manchester’s Palace Theatre on five nights in July of 2009. Ticketing info here. (via NME)
