Stone Temple Pilots visited New Orleans over the weekend, remembering the ’90s for the benefit of Voodoo Music Experience attendees. Their reunion tour wraps up this week, and Weiland’s hinted that he’d rather not pursue a future with STP if it means making albums for Atlantic. So stakes are high for Scott’s second solo outing Happy In Galoshes, even if expectations remain low. “Paralysis” was co-written by Mr. Weiland and everyone in No Doubt except Gwen Stefani. (Adrian also contributes drums, in case you couldn’t tell.) The low-budg clip finds the rocker overdressed in the desert, daydreaming about caressing his sour girl. (In the screengrab above, he is doing his taxes.) Presumably he’s happier in the flashbacks, though he doesn’t smile and I didn’t spot any galoshes.

Sounds like Bowie, looks like Le Bon.

Happy In Galoshes is out 11/25 on Softdrive.

    Dear Scott Weiland,

Please stop making music, videos, anything. You’re already rich. Do the world a favor and just stop.

    You fuck.
