Halloween is here and no matter what your outfit tonight, you really are a winner just for dressing up (as long as it’s not The Joker or Sarah Palin or otherwise take you a paragraph to explain). You should send us photos! We’ve already given you some ideas for trendy pop costumes this year, and Videogum’s given you ideas that will most definitely not be trendy this year. You can even send us photos of great music-based pumpkin creations, like the High Places and Heavy Metal O-Lanterns. If you don’t have a camera, just tell us what you’re wearing, and we’ll vote you up and down depending on how terrible the idea. Pajo’s playlist is pretty great. I don’t like HIS metal band, but I like the metal bands he likes.
I was Gaspard Augé and my bud was Xavier de Rosneay. I don’t have pictures, but someone does.
I was . . . uh, uh . . . a dog handler! Yeah, that’s it. I was dressed as a dog handler. As evidenced by my oh-so-practical t-shirt and jeans. I even stepped in some dog pee that happened to be on the carpet, just for the sake of realism. (At least, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.) Not that much of anyone got to see my awesome costume, since I spent the whole evening in the house tending to the poor little paranoid pooches while the trick-or-treaters came by. I was bit by Obi-Wan (not hard enough to break the skin though) and frantically kissed by a whimpering Precious. At least there was plenty of candy left over after the kiddies went home and I’ve been making Obi and Preshy plenty jealous that my body can metabolize theobromine faster than theirs.
i went as Omar A. Rodriguez-Lopez of the Mars Volta. that came off well.
Who would have thought there’d be so many Joe The Plumbers…
My costume this year doesn’t require a ton of work…. you just need the dedication to shave your head and be slightly blue for a week.
Knights really dig it too.
didn’t have much time to do anything complex, so i donned a bag over my head and went as the unknown comic. that worked out pretty well.
i also carved the frodus logo into the last pumpkin from ralphs.
