You saw the hair and heard the “I Want To Take You Home Tonight.” There’s more Alone II up for grabs: The light but lively “My Brain Is Working Overtime”‘s streaming at Cuomo’s MySpace. It’s laid-back musically, but lyrically, as Super Hero notes, “he’s trippin’ … mental slippin’,” etc. Fans of the old stuff (Blue, Pinkerton) should be happy. Or, at least not as pissed off as usual.

There’s a demo floating around of Weezer doing this from back in 2000. Good song and this version is actually way better than that one. I wish this one had ended up on Green Album instead of most of what did.
Matt Sharp came onstage during the Tegan and Sara shows in L.A. last month and they covered “Tired of Sex” from “Pinkerton” every night, which is a Rivers Cuomo song. The video is on YouTube. I heard the lawsuit is water under the bridge and there’s going to be a Weezer reunion.
Why are you lying, Syd? Rivers has made it clear that Scott is the bassist and there’s very little chance of Matt coming back. And yeah, the lawsuit’s been water under the bridge for years now. Matt and Rivers already did a little reunion at a college and played a few songs together. That’s it, though.
