For the next six weeks, T&S are blogging at Spinner, where with each installment they’ll be writing about one of three themes: laugh, rage, cry. This one’s “cry,” both talking separately about California’s passing of Proposition 8, which took away the right of same-sex marriage along with the rights that go with such a union (i.e. it fucking sucks). Read what they have to say here.

You’re ignorant. And no one actually likes you. They just tolerate you. So to return the favor what should you do? Hmmm…

Whoops! Sorry. Think I read your response wrong. Please forgive my heathenish reply. I’m sure people think you’re great. Maybe. Some people like me, but I don’t like them. Either way, I probably wouldn’t like you so I guess it doesn’t matter. I’m off to fuck a panda.

This November, I was intensely proud as my country overcame prejudice to elect a mixed race immigrants son to our highest political office. And then that was quickly replaced with deep sadness when the state I currently live in took fundamental rights from individuals solely because they are different.

  3. Two steps forward, one step back.

  4. Oh Tegan and Sara, you need to turn that frown upsy-daisy. This should be a laugh — people who voted yes Prop 8 will be remembered the same as people who voted against civil rights. That is, laughable old coots and the product of an ignorant generation. Plus momentum is on the right side across the country: The margins of victory in CA, AZ and FL were the lowest they’ve been.

I mean, it’s not “ha ha” funny, but stop being such mopey lesbos.

“Oh sorry Mrs. Parks, you need to stop being mopey and just move to the back of the bus. Don’t you see that the people who asked you to move are laughable old coots and the product of an ignorant generation? Plus, momentum is on the right side across the country – the number of blacks being moved to the back of the bus are the lowest they’ve ever been.”

The struggle for civil rights should not wait for the “laughable old coots.” It should continue on without their consent.

YAY, maybe now Tegan and Sara will give up this lesbian nonsense and start loving the penis, because they are fine as hell and I want to give them multiple babies.
