We’ve heard different versions of various Noble Beasts, the studio take of “Oh No,” and gave you an official Progress Report. Now we have the artwork to go with Andrew Bird’s fifth studio album. (Thanks for the tip, Mike T.) The decor feels less symbol heavy than Morrissey’s Wordsworthian baby, but at the same time there’s something romantically poignant about the how the image extends the title with a bit of naturalist mystery. (It might remind old people of old Flying Saucer Attack records if it weren’t so sunny.) There’s also a special edition, which pairs Noble Beasts with the instrumental Useless Creatures. Its cover, drawn by Diana Sudyka, resembles the artwork for some kind of Aesop fable. Soak up the landscapes.
