A rumor discussed on message boards and now fueled by Rolling Stone puts Phish on Bonnaroo’s What stage Friday and Saturday nights (6/12-6/13 in Manchester, TN). (Bruce Springsteen will allegedly close on Sunday.) It would be the first time the legendary jam band plays the notoriously jam band-heavy festival, but Trey Anastasio’s fifth year appearing as a performer. Phish’s only confirmed reunion dates so far are 3/6-3/9 in Hampton, VA, which gives you three months to score some primo weed.

Bruce closing it out would be opposite of the normal pattern, but it would get me to stay for that act for the first time ever.

Patchouli and no blacks, it don’t get any better

  7. Bruce Springsteen’s drummer starts his gig at the Late Show two weeks prior, which is why Bruce’s tour is ending by June 1st. Having him at Bonnaroo makes no sense, and there is zero substance behind these rumors other than people wanting him there.

Oh, and the E Street Band has also never done a festival before, or at least not one in the last 20+ years. Not gonna happen people.

  8. gonna have to better than that to get me to sweat my non-existent balls off at 6:30 am for 4 days.
