Tonight‘s first single “Ulysses” moves with a funk(ish) lilt. Though maybe a tad more sinister, this live version of the new track “What She Came For” also showcases the band in full-on UK swagger-mode, continuing the slight disconnect between the sounds on Franz Ferdinand’s third album and the collection’s faux crime scene cover art.
Tonight: Franz Ferdinand is out 1/26 via Domino.

Saw them live in Las Vegas a few days ago, Superb show, completely upstaged Bloc Party who were on the same bill as them. Have high hopes for the new album.
Yeah, I saw them at NSSN in Oakland last week with The Killers, Death Cab, and Bloc Party. Gotta say, I think them and Bloc Party brought the house down–then again, I’m a huge Bloc Party fan and had heard they sucked live (needless to say, Bloc Party surprised me with a killer set). I was just awed by Franz’s energy, and the new songs sounded superb. One of my top albums to get my hands on in the next few months.
Geez, you can hear people talking as much as the band. I freaking hate it when people are yaking away at a concert, especially if the main act is on stage. It’s like what are here for?
Sounds nice. There’s some hope left for Franz Ferdinand.
fucking shite band.
This Sounds Awesome.& Dingle your ears are filled with Shite so everything ggod sounds just like it……Fock Off…….Franz Ferdinand 09.
