“Me & Mary” is the first single from Asobi Seksu’s third album Hush, the New York band’s followup to 2006′s Citrus. The track’s accompanying video was put thought of/designed by Brooklyn illustrator Dan-ah Kim, assisted by director Aaron Stewart-Ahn. He provided her with the a/v technical know-how. He also directed Death Cab For Cutie’s “I Will Possess Your Heart.” This one’s less creepy, largely because it doesn’t involve Ben Gibbard’s glasses. What it does involve is quite a number of windblown feathers, inky trees, dramatic guitar playing, and costume changes.
Hush is out 2/17 via Polyvinyl.

Nice sound. Zero charisma on screen.
agreed greg. I really like this album. But they have the charisma of dead fish.
They’re romantically detached. Its in-vogue with the neo-shoegaze movement.
She is no Lykke Li, eh?
Crap!
great song and the singer is smokin hot
Forget Hush .. this is a straight rip of Lush from the 90s
oh, and they suck, too.
It’s clear that this guitarist has already reached his peak and it’s all downhill from here. I think the fact that there’s no bassist or drummer says a lot about these people–no one wants to work with them. there’s nothing original Karma’s a bitch…..these people need to stop, Yuki is over thirty, she should have known better than to put on a blond whig. man do these guys suck!
Terrible video. Agreed absolutely no charisma and just boring as hell. Total Lush rip off band.
LOL that blonde wig is ridiculous. Bad concept.
LOL @ charisma of a dead fish HAHA so true
Wait a minute, That’s a white Fender Coronado I, he switches to. Sexxy axe!
