We are sad to report that Lux Interior, the legendary lead singer of the Cramps, passed away at Glendale Memorial Hospital in Glendale, California at 4:30 AM PST this morning. He died of an existing heart condition. He was 62. It should be noted that the weekend Amrit and Brandon met in 2006, they watched the Cramps perform at the Øya Festival in Oslo, Norway and Lux really looked like he was going to live forever. Our condolences to his family.

Rest In Peace, Lux.
Love the Cramps.. one of my faves in High School… The Most Exalted Potentate of Love has always been my favorites of theirs.. will play it tonight in his honor.
Sad news. I have 96 tears in 96 eyes.
RIP Lux Interior
but, viva la “Lake Inferior” spiders, bumped into a new song by a band from NC that came to my mind when I thought about Lux
Sad news. I have some great photos of the man and his band in action from back in the late ’80s. I was a photojournalist back then, Lux jumped off the stage and nearly knocked me over.
Strange, haven’t listened to a Cramps album in about 15 years but this is upsetting. Cheers Lux! Thanks for the great music.
this makes me sad. human fly was my theme song for a long time. rip.
Great eulogy here (www.thedumbingofamerica.wordpress.com) with videos from when The Cramps were on Beverly Hills 90210 and when they played at a mental institution.
No way! Just about started a revival page on a site in UK…bad news – RIP Lux! The Cramps live on in digital forever….
bad music for bad people has kept it’s status as a classic since i found the cassette amongst the debris in my high school parking lot – in 1987.
He will be missed! Lux Interior and The Cramps have been major influences on many bands throughout the years and will continue to live on through them.
