Ward is on the perennial promotion circuit thanks to the sizable success of his She & Him feeding directly into the ever-swelling support for his solo endeavors, so here he is again, doing the talk show thing. Matt’s mostly comfortable being the visual focal point here, although he’s brought enough players and background singers to both disperse the attention and flesh out “Never Had Nobody Like You“‘s fuzzy shuffling blues-bar guitars and overarching throwback boogie. Although really, you don’t need much more than Matt’s husked and char-burned vocals to earn audience attention:
