Now that Gwen Stefani’s put out two solo albums and two babies and a clothing line and desktop publishing software (?), she is ready to rock again. Her bandmates are ready to rock, too. They were so desperate to rock they’ve been hanging out with Weiland. ND (that’s what the kids call them) kick off a North American tour with Paramore at the Bamboozle Festival in NJ on 5/3. The itinerary also includes a show at Jones Beach Theater, which is where I saw No Doubt headline with Weezer in high school. Long ago, those guys had real charm, but they sucked. Ten years on, the charm’s gone for good, but at least they still suck. Nobody can take away their suck. It’s theirs forever.

They don’t just suck like an ordinary band, either. They suck like an LA band. No band sucks quite like an LA band sucks. They’ve got more chops than any five good bands combined, and they devote every inch of it to sucking.

I accidentally downvoted you, I am sorry.

    • you must be from some shit flyover state. LA bands suck?

LA Bands have always sucked. Move to Austin, Portland, Brooklyn, New York or some useful part of California. LA is where you move when you’ve decided that you like getting paid lots of money and want more pussy… or if you were a child actress or something.

        • right. except for the DIY music scene was basically born out of Los Angeles.

you’d have to know something about music to understand this, though.

    don’t forget The Sounds, yo!
All these bands are fronted by female lead singers! don’t hate, appreciate!

  5. also don’t forget Bedouin Soundclash.

i have absolutely no desire to see this tour, but it seems like the peeps in No Doubt hand picked all of the support and its a pretty solid lineup for an arena rock tour.
