Pylon guitarist and founding member Randy Bewley has died after suffering a massive heart attack while driving his van in Athens on Monday. In an email to Creative Loafing, bandmate Vanessa Hay wrote that “his van drifted off the road and tipped over. No other people or vehicles were involved.” He was then taken to the Athens Regional Medical Center ICU, and passed away shortly before 5pm yesterday (2/25). Read more at the Athens Banner-Herald.
