Animal Collective’s limited-edition 3LP Animal Crack Box is coming. The set of live rarities will be limited to 1,000 vinyl copies, housed in a silkscreened box illustrated by Jon Vermilyea, on sale exclusively through Fusetron. It’ll be available in a few months, but if you can’t wait that long and you have all the money, you’re in luck: Catsup Plate, the label behind early AC works like Danse Manatee and Campfire Songs, is auctioning off a test pressing right now.

All proceeds benefit Doctors Without Borders, who will be happy to hear bidding has already reached $1,050.00.

    Modest Mouse > Animal Collective

  2. Apples > Oranges

  3. Cool that it’s all old recordings. Despite AC’s continued awesomeness, Feels and Sung Tongs are still the winners of the lot.
