A couple weeks ago we posted James Curd’s remix of the Juan Maclean’s “One Day.” The straight-up version’s part of The Future Will Come, the followup to Less Than Human. As we mentioned then, John MacLean’s now joined more permanently by LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang. She plays a prominent role in “One Day”‘s Patrick Longstreth-directed video … as does retro-”futuristic” lighting, a blue-gray forest, waiting-room sleep, ghostly versions of the duo, and a chilly kind of love.
The “One Day” single includes remixes by Emperor Machine, Lazaro, Surkin, and Romboy. The Curd remix isn’t on it:
The Future Will Come is out 4/14 via DFA.
