We already knew his iPod included Interpol, Feist, and Cat Power and that he hung out with Nano’s favorite daughter on SNL. Well, NBC’s prime time anchor Brian Williams continues intermingling Apple products with indie rock for this interview/iTunes plug with Deer Tick. It’s the inaugural edition of his new MSNBC.com series called — wait, wait — BriTunes. The word “iTunes” is said more times than Deer Tick.

The BriTunes logo apparently predates the invention of iTunes. Unless Wiliams knew about iTunes in the ’80s.

Wow, I had no idea Deer Tick were getting so (relatively) big. For anyone who’s interested in a couple more great Providence bands/artists, check out Golden Ghost and Viking Moses.
