So I’ve only been to Atlanta once – to visit a friend who had lived in Virginia Highlands area (now he lives in Five Points – I think that’s right)…anyhow…is it fairly safe if you stick to the ‘known’ areas? Stuff like this doesn’t help when you’re scoping out possible places to one day possibly move – or maybe I’m just being paranoid, in which case, enjoy the weekend
I live in Little Five Points. Stick to popolated areas when walking around and use a taxi at night. I love Little five, east atlanta and areas like it, but the problem with atlanta is that each nice neighborhood is adjacent to a shady one. The area that Jeff Ament got mugged is really not an area that I would think would be like that, but then again, see my previous sentence. All that said, I love Atlanta, I think it’s the best, check out Little Five Points and East Atlanta Village, living within a 2 mile radius / walking distance to all shows is great, and I’m not moving until I’m old.
I lived in Atlanta for 7 years and walked around midtown at night without any problems, but there are certain streets you want to avoid at night, like Ponce De Leon. Avoid the south-side like death. The east-side is great, but as monsterBL pointed out, there are rough neighborhoods next to nice ones. I’m curious to know what part of Atlanta Southern Tracks is in. I hope this doesn’t give anybody the wrong idea about the city. It’s beautiful and I miss it every day.

How did those black dude’s even know who Pearl Jam was?
I am being 100% serious when I say this: People who commit robberies like this, where they threaten a person and/or attack them, should be sentenced to work camps for a minimum of ten years with only enough food to support their bodies. I don’t understand why people get away with these things. Can someone explain it to me? Is it a problem with overcrowding?
