Phoenix launched their tour last night at the Spex Festival at Berlin’s Berghain. Today DFA-affiliated New Yorkers Holy Ghost! offer up a remix of Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix‘s next single “Lisztomania.” Because Phoenix haven’t been remixed enough. Much like LA DJs Classixx hollowed-out dance-floor take, Holy Ghost! turn down the catchy guitar part in favor of additional synthesizers and percussion. It’s more fun than the last reworking, but guys: With those six-strings in place, you’re already halfway to the disco.

This will be on the forthcoming “Lisztomania” remix EP along with the aforementioned Classixx cut and one by Der Die Das.

Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix is out 5/26 in the US on Loyaute/Glassnote Records. That’s the album art being silkscreened above. The tour continues:
