Speaking of Alison, her day gig with the Kills wrapped its tour in Hollywood last night, just in time for the Dead Weather to start a trek of their own. Trent Reznor-favorites the Horrors opened the last month’s dates, and according to photographer Andrew Youssef they’re now Kills-favorites, too, VV and Hotel dedicating a bunch of tunes from their one-hour set to the UK band and later inviting them out to collab on the show-closing “I Put A Spell On You.” Bubble machine/drum machine lovers/fellow sexy-duo Magic Wands had the early slot. We’ve got pics of all of ‘em.

Correction: The Kills played “I Put A Spell On You” by themselves (as well as a cover of “Crazy (For Lovin’ You)” by Patsy Cline. They invited The Horrors on-stage for the finale encore, doing a rendition of the blues classic “Baby, Please Don’t Go”, popularized by Them.
I saw them when they stopped by Toronto, and they were amazing! VV just has such amazing stage presence.
The show was actually at the Henry Fonda. Personal highlight of the night-Magic Wands tiger heads.
I’ve always wondered if they are good live. With all the prerecorded stuff, never been too inclined to see them.
You can also count me in on The Horrors love fest! Ok, love is a bit strong, but it’s a very likable Jesus and The Mary Chain spin-off.
This was a show was worth the money, 3 great bands for the price of one!
the horrors were pretty amazing, but how anybody could say the kills were good friday is beyond me. they looked pissed at each other, had zero stage presence, and played a set full of uninspired crap. terrible show.
The Kills opened up for The Raconteurs a while ago, and i just wasn’t so into them. They were just kinda lame. Just sorta “meh”
