You might have had enough “No You Girls” after its iPod commercial, but that didn’t stop Franz Ferdinand from going Vanessa Beecroft and crafting an official video that included lots of guitar-gun mugging by the band and lots of leotarded butts from the ladies. In case you wanted to hear the track one more time, they’ve done a lo-tech second version of the Tonight tune, this time featuring sundry television and computer monitors and the guys bouncing balls, dancing, donning headgear, and hanging out on couches. It’s kind of the sillier, more loose-limbed and playful take on the claustrophobic sausage party they brought you in “Ulysses,” minus the runs outside the room to the strip bar and laundry mat.
Tonight: Franz Ferdinand is out via Domino.

Yikes–after the first 10 seconds that hand-held zoom out became pretty unbearable. At least it eventually, mostly stopped. Ok Franz Ferdinand, sorry I ever (briefly) wished the original video for this song was more like “Ulysses”…
