Continuing with the werewolf theme of Hombre Lobo, which happens to mean werewolf, Eels bring some hirsute lycanthropy to the gorgeously shot video for “In My Dreams.” E starred as a furry, howling stalker in the red-tinted clip for “Fresh Blood,” but he cedes the claws to a young boy in the suburbs, whose dreams entail being a pre-teenwolf and strolling the woods with a dream girl that looks like the sort that would be way into Andrew Bird.

“Dreamgirl…you my fantasy…”
This album was kind of “meh” for me in comparison to E’s other work, but this is one of the few songs that stood out. I dig the chords and the constant ride cymbal throughout.
This video reminds me of MM’s “Ocean Breathes Salty” video a bit. They both have amazing lighting and landscapes.
I dig it.
