While we’re all probably a little more intrigued by the Monsters Of Folk (coming soon), Conor’s still doing his job to support his latest release under his own name, Outer South. The push got its start when CO and the Mystic Valley Band did “Nikorette” on Conan in late ’08, and last night he chewed the mic in his recently indispensable big black hat at the Ed Sullivan Theatre on the rollick ‘n’ roll of “Spoiled.”
Outer South is out via Merge.

really love the sound on that 12-string.
Indeed! Too bad Nick Frietas gets the worst Jazzmaster tone ever.
awww. Conor played a free show in El Paso not too long ago and it was so amazing. I saw him again at Coachella with that big black hat and boots. He really captures your attention and inspires you. His eyeballs trap you. I lvoe it.
I’m less concerned about the hat than I am the pants. wtf.
Letterman left me waiting for the “Nice hat” comment. *sigh*
This was a rad performance. Conor’s hat is pretty funny though. Also, PLEASE check out Conor’s opening band for this american tour they’re on. They’re really great!
