We’ve been spending plenty of quality time with Atlas Sound’s Logos and it looks like the longstanding electro-lined UK duo will be getting its share of Bradford Cox’s bedroom dream-pop, too. Atlas Sound and Broadcast begin a month-long North American trek in mid October. (For anyone who pays attention to Cox & Co’s blog, this pairing shouldn’t be a surprise.) It’s Broadcast’s first tour on this terrain in four years — just in time for a new EP out in October via Warp (Logos is out 10/20 via Kranky). Fittingly, the whole things begins in Cox’s Atlanta hood. Check to see if they’ll be getting ambient in your town:

[Boo to deleting the fake premature evaluation comment. I always figured Stereogum as staunch conservatives...]

  2. I just want to know why they are playing a fairly rural town in MN?

It’s one hour from downtown Minneapolis

      • Minneapolis is considering a18+ show ban throughout the city because they’re having problem with minors getting access to alcohol. So maybe that has something to do with it?

I think it’s just a booking coup, as they are playing other gigs that are 19+ and 21+ elsewhere, and the proposed 18+ ban hasn’t happened. Dan Deacon is playing the same venue two nights later (with no Twin Cities show), and Fuck Buttons are playing both Minneapolis (Triple Rock) and Northfield in November. The Windish Agency books all of these acts.

  5. Please describe to us, track by track, in detail, how amazing the album is.

  6. Atlas Sound is fine and all…but Broadcast touring and putting out an EP is a more exciting story to me. They’ve been kinda quiet for the past 4 years and I, for one, can’t wait to see/hear new stuff.
