Interpol frontman Paul Banks is set to release a solo debut which thusfar has sounded conspicuously like an Interpol album (surprise). See if that plays out over its duration with a free album stream at Rhapsody. Album’s out 8/4 via Matador.
The songs are pretty good. Lyrically similar to what you would hear with Interpol obviously but some of the instrumentation could have been better. The big chorus guitars on Games for Days sounds like they could’ve easily been from a Kelly Clarkson song. Ouch! But yea, that’s probably the hit single.
