There’s been some action in camp Sufjan lately, though much of it’s a retread/revisiting of past material. Good news, then, that the man’s hitting smaller east coast venues with Cryptacize (“refreshingly coherent!” -S. Stevens) this fall and, as Asthmatic Kitty lets us know, it “has nothing to do with” The BQE. Perhaps a new song or two? Tickets go on sale this Saturday, August 15. A caveat from AK:

We wanted to make this as equitable for all of the fans so there are a few things to read carefully here. Due to the sizes of the venues, tickets will be limited. With that in mind, we wanted to avoid ticket scalpers and ensure that as many fans as possible could attend these shows. Tickets must be picked up at will-call the night of the show (not mailed), tickets are non-transferable and purchaser must present a government-issued photo ID. Also, there is a two ticket limit per purchaser. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

With that out of the way, see if Sufjan’s coming to your neighborhood.

Soooo unless you live in the Midwest or Northeast…You’re screwed!

  3. ’bout time.
however, no boston date means a trip to new york for me.

  4. aaaah, good thing I live a block away from Johnny Brenda’s!

  5. how can he just skip over boston?

  6. Guess NY is still the place to be, all well.

  7. fucking finally sufjan! now you need a new album to back it up.

  8. Hopefully all this action at “camp sufjan” is foreshadowing a new album soon. It sure would be nice. I think we’d all like to hear a studio cut of Majesty, Snowbird.

  9. I’m peeing my pants like a little fanboy right now and I don’t care who knows. I wish he was coming to DC, but I’ll make the trip to NYC and back for Sufjan.

How will I be able to sleep tonight?
