Juan MacLean’s video for “One Day” featured futuristic lighting, along with a blue-gray forest and a chilly waiting-room love story between John MacLean and vocalist Nancy Whang. This time a hooded Whang’s the focus of the futuristic setup: Initially it looks like you’re getting closeups of her intercut with shots of various instruments (synthesizer, cymbal, tambourine), but then the camera eases up a bit, giving her space to dance solo before launching a white-clad troupe of rug-cutting cohorts into space.
